New Zealand denies visa to Filipino mother whose son was murdered

I really appreciated how New Zealand was promoted at Discovery Channel by no less than their Prime Minister.  But I lost the appreciation and respect to New Zealand after they denied the mother of Warren Rosillo, 18 years old, who was brutally stabbed and murdered by a 17 year-old jealous male.  She probably last saw her son at 13 years old before he left for New Zealand to join his father estranged to his biological mother.

No effort was made by the father, as far as I know, to help the
mother to at least see her dear departed son for the last time.  New Zealand immigration denied the mother the visa because she did not have enough show money.  Are those idiots still after money and no show of compassion?  Do they mean "show money" we show compassion?  They are corrupt in a way to look for money!  What kind of animals are with the New Zealand immigration?

I firmly hope and wish that what you did to the mother also happens to you.  Your grief will be a gazillion times more than what Warren Rosillo's mother felt!  You are inflexible idiots who do not care about parents' feelings in times like that!  Your souls will burn in hell to the point that even Satan will not recognize you!

Pacquiao vs. Mosley post-fight comments

The wait for the Pacquiao vs. Mosley bout has been long awaited and the results were not as good as the previous fights of Manny Pacquiao.  Why?  It's true what Pacquiao said, "Mosley did not want to fight".  After the knockdown of Mosley on the 3rd round, he was too cautious that he hardly engaged Manny Pacquiao in real good boxing.  He admitted that the punches were the hardest he received in his entire boxing career!

Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley are good friends that made the fight uneventful.  It was the only bout you could notice that Pacquiao would make the sign of the cross before the start of each round.  Maybe he did not want to hurt Mosley and their frequent 'touch-gloves' seemed to be the sign!  The fall of Manny on the 10th round was not a knockdown because Mosley stepped on his foot causing him to fall!

It was only after that, that Manny got real aggressive and showed again his trademark of 'slapping his gloves'.  Had the referee not made the mistake of calling it a knockdown, it might have been a lesser fight than it was.  Obviously, Shane Mosley was just fighting for survival from a knockout or TKO.  He had to preserve his record of not having lost in a fight due to a KO or TKO!  This would make one wonder if he really deserves to be a Hall of Famer for that record.

NBA predictions and critics

LeBron James decided to move to the Miami Heat for the 2010-2011 NBA season.  Critics were quick to make comments that it did not look good for  both Lebron and Dwayne Wade because they are both superstars in their own right and acknowledged by many.  At the start of the season, critics said they were right as the Heat were not performing as expected.  They had too many to blame for that!  I think it even came to the point that they were blaming the coach!

Now that the Miami Heat is in the play-offs, I was wondering why those critics' mouths, pens or keyboards are shut!  As of this writing, semis show 2 wins for the Heat and nil for the Celtics.  The performance of Miami Heat, and the seemingly perfect combination of Lebron and Dwayne, has choked them!

Going to the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, Michael Jordan boldly predicted early that Derrick Rose of Chicago Bulls would be the one.  Critics had it again that MJ's prediction was 'weird'!  Okay, so who is weird now?  Derrick Rose got the MVP and the critics are again dumbfounded!  With all of that, NBA sports critics really do not understand the game much more the people 'in-the-game'!  All they understand is whatever negative they say or publish it makes money for them!  They do not care at all!

As one NBA coach said to the reporters in a post play-off conference,  he said, "Nobody likes you, right?"

What kind of a Wife?

Yes, many women and wives complain about men or their husbands.  But have they ever looked at themselves even while putting on those make-up and ask how good they are?  Take these acts that they do and even justify the injustice they do to their family and husbands:
  1. Go out on the premise of going to church that takes 4 hours or more with a special son.  Then motions to the son to keep quiet because they go play Bingo or something else after the mass.
  2. Says she's getting old and near 'death' and wants to be with other relatives rather than her own immediate family.
  3. Will watch TV or Soap Opera and does not care about dinner whether it's cooked or burned, or just about anything else.  It's TV or nothing!
  4. Does not have time to serve dinner then leaves dishes unwashed overnight or until the next meal.
  5. Would be with colleagues, friends or batch mates and does not bother if her family has food to eat.
  6. Would lie to her teeth even if it is obvious that she has lied and keeps on changing her version of lies.
  7. Could not do her own work evaluation and asks hubby to do it for her.
  8. Has an IR at work and asks hubby to respond to it for her.
  9. Fixes the bed, have the sheets and blankets for laundry but neglects to put replacement blanket.
  10. Has all the time and funds to put in calls or text messages to others except for the husband.
  11. After being with female friends, separated wives from husbands goes totally cold and dry in bed.  Husband loses interest in sex because it's like doing it with a corpse!
  12. Could not explain where money earned by hubby was spent and why.  She rather spends for whims than what is necessary.
  13. Keeps on doing what is inappropriate or ill-advised even after several reminders or notices.
  14. Does not take leave of absence from work in critical situations of her immediate family but can easily take that leave of absence from work to enjoy time with other relatives!
Those are just a few that men or husbands have to deal with.  If both spouses have almost equal IQ and wits, debates will be to no end.  If the wife is inferior, uses it as an excuse and makes it appear that the husband is domineering or brutal!  But, if the husband is inferior or hen-pecked, he will just have to be sorry for it.  Warning to wives:  He may be inferior and hen-pecked but you will never know how and when gets back at you!

Holy Week different dates every year

Around the globe every year , people of different Christian denominations honor the Holy Week for Jesus Christ's suffering, death and resurrection.  The Holy Week holidays differ from dates and months every year, so does the date and month for Ash Wednesday.  It is always 46 days before Easter Sunday and kicks off the 40 day Lenten season.  My curiosity of the different dates and months has been there for years but it is only now that I have researched on it online.

It has been a question in my mind because: why is it that the birth of Jesus Christ was fixed on December 25 while His suffering, death and resurrection were not?  On my research it says that: "Easter can never occur before March 22 or later than April 25;  Easter falls on the first Sunday following the first ecclesiastical full moon that occurs on or after the day of the vernal equinox; this particular ecclesiastical full moon is the 14th day of a tabular lunation (new moon); and the vernal equinox is fixed as March 21".  With this, that the ecclesiastical system does not follow the astronomical system when it comes to full moon.  They (churches) have not considered the complexity of the lunar motion.

The research was getting too technical with references to vernal equinox, Gregorian or pre-Gregorian tables, Julian Calendar, and so on and so forth.  What I really wanted to find out is: how is it related to the suffering, death and resurrection of Christ?  I do not recall anything taught in our Catholic religion classes about the full moon during that time with Jesus (or maybe I was absent when it was taken up in class).

I am not a very religious and biblical person, so I would not really have a good knowledge about it.  It seems that the information available online was just for calendars and full moons about the Holy Week holidays' different dates. Nothing at all on how it is related to the death of Jesus Christ.

Japan's Earthquake, Tsunami & other earlier tremors

Earthquakes have been too frequent in the past 30 days and many have been violent.  Japan's 8.9 magnitude earthquake triggered a tsunami as high as 10 meters that devastated the city of Sendai.  Some nuclear power plants have also been affected and an oil refinery is on fire.

Just for the month of March 2011, New Zealand, China and Japan have been hit by violent earthquakes within 11 days.  I cannot recall anything similar to this chain of devastating tremors in the past.  It is very alarming because the earths crust and plates could be shifting.  Observations have come up that tremors of large magnitude may have an effect for volcanos to erupt.

A documentary at Discovery Channel has shown that subduction zones can trigger volcanic eruptions.

Middle East Unrest

For many years, it seemed that the Middle East was the least to have any unrest problems.  Most of those countries were anti-Israel only and nothing more.  The OPEC Middle East countries have all the money they want and can support each and every citizen!  The recent toppling of Egypts and Tunisias rulers by civil unrest is surprising.  Now it's Libyan President Moammar Gadhafi, who has ruled the nation for 41 years, that is having a problem.

News reports say that he has been using his militia with foreign mercenaries to quell the unrest.  Gadhafi is blaming Osama bin Laden for this and has denounced the September 11 bombings!  He could be right because bin Laden knows the world is still in recession and uprising in the OPEC nations could worsen it, making things more difficult!  Libya's Gadhafi was once the target of the U.S. for terrorist activities and training terrorists of other nations.  Putting the blame on bin Laden by Gadhafi is a move to get the U.S. and other nations on his side!

The problem is a cousin of Gadhafi, who is one of his closest aides, Ahmed Gadhaf al-Dam, has defected to Egypt.  He holds one of the highest position in Libya who defected so far, after several ambassadors around the world, the justice minister and the interior minister all sided with the protesters. Gadhaf al-Dam denounced the crackdown as "grave violations of human rights and international laws".

Should the uprising continue and spread in the Middle East oil prices would soar and what would happen with the OPEC nations remains a question.  A stop of production by these oil-producing nations can set back the world to further recession.

Trickery & Oppression Online

The consolation of having a blog is being able to vent out frustrations without the fear of censorship.  Facts may exist but not acceptable as the real truth to a matter.  Many say or state “the fact is . . .” but that may be only true to them but not for a bigger majority.  This is what is happening right now online on the internet.

So when does oppression and trickery happen online?  That occurs when a group of people agree that whatever they do is the right thing and do not care of others.  What they do is choose examples or make documentations of people who allegedly were happy with their system or style!  The statistical point in this is no longer taken to account by many!  How many out of, say, a thousand or a million would give credit to this claim?

Normally, groups or people who want to gain fame and money will spend a fortune just to get testimonies and document them!  When people who go online are tricked into this, that’s the time they practice oppression.  They oppress online people who do not totally agree with their system like block or close accounts and blame them for ‘unethical’ or  use of unacceptable tools online!

The above is being mentioned because I have personally experienced this with a traffic surf site, a lotto site, some article writing sites and several paid-to-post (PTP) sites.  Many if not most are the top sites of their category but miserably failed in fairness and equality.  As soon as I detect the bias they have, I have departed or quit membership.  There are many more racial oppression and trickery online that I hope to write about in the future.

Helium might be purging members again

Helium, some time in mid-2009, purged members who are not located in primarily English speaking countries. I had over 70 articles posted then and 2 were plagiarized. The star rating for both writing and rating articles given to me were at the upper level and a featured article writer at auto repair category quite often. My son who was also a member was purged. They were ethical in informing us about it (being sent to purgatory - lol), gave us time to download our articles before closing down our page.

Just last November 2010, we found out that they were again accepting members from all over the globe. To cut it short, I am a member again with some recruits and almost 40 articles posted. The current star rating I have is 3 Stars both for writing and rating articles.

Suddenly a member friend who recently joined, who unfortunately did not fall under my recruit, was no longer allowed to log in to her account. I tried to help her with it unsuccessfully until I suggested contacting Helium about it. She copy furnished me the email response of Helium that I copy/pasted below: (I have intentionally removed the name of my friend for privacy purposes)

Greetings I R,

Thanks for your ongoing interest in the Helium site.

Unfortunately, Helium.com is not set up to provide an optimal experience for writers from every country. At present, our audience is predominantly US-focused. To prevent frustrations from all writers and to limit staff time spent trying to accommodate, we are not accepting submissions from some locations at this time.

Readers from around the world are welcome to enjoy Helium’s articles. In the future, we are hoping to offer different versions of Helium that will attract and best suit all writers. We are currently evaluating the impact this has on a few existing members, and we will settle with them on an individual basis in the coming weeks.  There are no specifics on new sites at this time.

All the best,

Cindy Wester

So to all Helium members who are not located in primarily English speaking countries, the "Sword of Damocles" once again hangs over our heads.  Those at Helium are supposed to realize the effort we do just to make the articles land at the top of the titles!  For me, I hardly research on the topics much more read the articles posted ahead of mine.  I write based purely on raw experience, wisdom and knowledge.  There are many articles posted at Helium with so many references they researched!  How sure are they that those references are good?

It seems that there are some writers at Helium who are from primarily English speaking countries insecure or envious on our knowledge and how we write.  Maybe some of them are even admin of Helium.  Readers please take a look at my profile page.  My location shows there and I had to choose from the scroll down list the site offered.  I had no option but to choose 'Bengquet' which should be correctly spelled as Benguet!

My question to Helium now is:  What if an American, Englishman or Australian lives in a non-primarily English speaking country, does not state it in his profile but instead puts the country, state and city he is from?

Helium might see this post as a blog against them.  Read well and it is not.  It is against those who are biased and even maybe lingual racists who have difficulty outdoing us!  (Funny thing about this is, my son tried to check on previous article titles we wrote on once before and he was surprised that there were pratically re-writes of our old articles on our previous stint with them).  What a subtle way to 'plagiarize' but not considered to be as such!

This blog post could make Helium remove me as writer-member.  Makes the job of purging easier for them.

Mind Poisoning by separated wives

Unbelievable but it has happened!  This is with reference to an earlier article.  The high school batch of  a female, led by and has most members of separated wives, has got into the mind of a married woman.  An alumni anniversary ocassion made her take an absence-of-leave for one whole week.  She never did that when one in the family got gravely sick or was in trouble.

The separated wives like to prove through mind poisoning that being separated is better.  They, especially those who have successful careers or businesses, justify that they can focus on the child or children better without a husband.  That's alright and kudos to them.  But, and it's a big but(t) poisoning the mind of happily married women is one of their biggest mistakes!  They presume if not ass(ume) that all married women are like them!

Wrecked or broken homes are not mostly caused by husbands.  They are caused by separated wives who envy successful and happy marriages.

A Grooms Wedding Speech

Special occasions such as weddings are memorable to both bride and groom.  It may not be as memorable to their relatives and friends, but it is an event where they all learn about the couple.  They learn how both react to one another on the first day that they have exchanged vows.  It is a commitment to one another and whatever they say, or act out, in the occasion remain imprinted in the minds of those attending the wedding.

The grooms wedding speech will be taken note by many, if not most, of those who are attending because he will be the head of the family.  The words in his speech should be delivered in a way that it would not be misinterpreted for something else.  In-laws, the bride’s parents, will be most critical of this.

The vows exchanged in the wedding will be a good reference point for the grooms wedding speech.  Words or phrases with reference to ‘for better or worse’ and ‘till death do us part’ will be significant to minds of the people in the wedding.  The speech statement should be an assurance that the bride will be in good hands.

ID Theft problems?

You and some of your friends would have experienced your email address being hacked and sending emails that you did not actually send.  The identity theft online could have been made at the website of spokeo.com that practically has information about your name, email address, phone, username and friends.  This is very alarming because for $2.95 just about anyone can access details about your personal information!

Several friends with Yahoo email address, including mine, have been hacked and has been sending messages, probably thousands.  Of course, if the email address is familiar you will tend to open and read the message only to find out your friend did not send it!  Those that I have received had only short or tiny URLs.  Tracking it shows to have come from somewhere in Canada!  I have not bothered clicking on those tiny URLs because it could be a virus.  I know my friends will not be sending anything like that.

A relative posted this on FaceBook where I learned about it:

"A site called spokeo.com is a new online USA phone book w/personal information: everything from pics you've posted on FB/web/ur credit score/home value/income/ age. Remove yourself by searching your name/copy the URL of your page/then go to the bottom right corner of the page; click on the Privacy button to remove yourself. Copy and re-post so your friends are aware. No joke. I really found my personal info."

The problem here is the Internet has no governing body that could immediately put a stop to this website.  The sources of spokeo.com is practically from all web sites where your name, email address, phone, username and friends show!  This is grossly unethical and inappropriate for those websites to have subscribed to this system!

This would be a good call to all those who read this and join the protest against spokeo's scheming with risks on personal information theft!  All positive comments on this is highly appreciated.  Please spread the word on this.

Golden voice - Ted Williams

Many made negative comments and say that the phenomenal news about the God-given-golden-voice person Ted Williams should not be praised.  One comment said that with that talent, he could have easily landed a job and not be homeless.  Another said it could set a precedent for talented homeless people and just wait for the same stroke of luck.

Let me tell you this "naturally-fortunate-talented" commentors:
Yes Ted Williams has the talent with that God given golden voice.  And, yes, he knows himself better than anyone of you!  He was into alcohol and drugs.  He had several run-ins with the law.  He is aware that his looks are not like that of Denzel Washington.  He has had hang-ups and maybe still has them.  He might have some inhibitions that you don't. He does not have any identification or any proof of who he is.  With panhandling, he would not be able to work on those to prove who he is! Quite sure - optimists will say - he should have done something about it. (Not until you are in his exact situation will you ever know how it really is)

With all of the above and maybe even many more, even I would not have the courage to try and find the fortune others might have done the ordinary way.  Did any of you even think that the multiple offers being given to him now would be the same if he tried it on his own?  Not a chance, right?  Would any media executive have given him the attention the curious reporter from The Columbus Dispatch had given him without any credentials?  Not a chance again!

Maybe, you naysayers think you've got talent and did not, or does not, get the opportunity and attention that the golden voiced Ted Williams is enjoying now. You are just too proud to say, "well at least I did something about myself and situation", when in truth and in fact is you ENVY the fellow!

Ted Williams the homeless, simply found what America has always been proud to offer, the land of opportunity and opportunity just had its own way of getting to him.

Exercise and Dieting

With reference to my prior blog post on "Dieting is self-discipline", please note that I have done it because I knew I need less energy doing online work at home.  Also I have not taken to my regular exercise and that would be with dumbbell weights during my dieting period.

After the holidays I decided to do regular dumbbell work again after increased food intake during those days.  Besides, I need to improve my upper body strength again to move around and drive with ease.  With driving, I notice that I need upper body exercise whenever I feel difficulty turning my torso around when backing up.

For this, additional food intake will be more on protein, carbohydrates and calcium.  In addition, I will be supplementing it with vitamins and minerals that would help in developing some muscles with the exercise.  Walking briskly is an exercise supplement I do to even up any extra upper body exercise I do.

I should feel better and comfortable in the next two weeks if I would be able to keep up with this. LOL!
