Middle East Unrest

For many years, it seemed that the Middle East was the least to have any unrest problems.  Most of those countries were anti-Israel only and nothing more.  The OPEC Middle East countries have all the money they want and can support each and every citizen!  The recent toppling of Egypts and Tunisias rulers by civil unrest is surprising.  Now it's Libyan President Moammar Gadhafi, who has ruled the nation for 41 years, that is having a problem.

News reports say that he has been using his militia with foreign mercenaries to quell the unrest.  Gadhafi is blaming Osama bin Laden for this and has denounced the September 11 bombings!  He could be right because bin Laden knows the world is still in recession and uprising in the OPEC nations could worsen it, making things more difficult!  Libya's Gadhafi was once the target of the U.S. for terrorist activities and training terrorists of other nations.  Putting the blame on bin Laden by Gadhafi is a move to get the U.S. and other nations on his side!

The problem is a cousin of Gadhafi, who is one of his closest aides, Ahmed Gadhaf al-Dam, has defected to Egypt.  He holds one of the highest position in Libya who defected so far, after several ambassadors around the world, the justice minister and the interior minister all sided with the protesters. Gadhaf al-Dam denounced the crackdown as "grave violations of human rights and international laws".

Should the uprising continue and spread in the Middle East oil prices would soar and what would happen with the OPEC nations remains a question.  A stop of production by these oil-producing nations can set back the world to further recession.

Trickery & Oppression Online

The consolation of having a blog is being able to vent out frustrations without the fear of censorship.  Facts may exist but not acceptable as the real truth to a matter.  Many say or state “the fact is . . .” but that may be only true to them but not for a bigger majority.  This is what is happening right now online on the internet.

So when does oppression and trickery happen online?  That occurs when a group of people agree that whatever they do is the right thing and do not care of others.  What they do is choose examples or make documentations of people who allegedly were happy with their system or style!  The statistical point in this is no longer taken to account by many!  How many out of, say, a thousand or a million would give credit to this claim?

Normally, groups or people who want to gain fame and money will spend a fortune just to get testimonies and document them!  When people who go online are tricked into this, that’s the time they practice oppression.  They oppress online people who do not totally agree with their system like block or close accounts and blame them for ‘unethical’ or  use of unacceptable tools online!

The above is being mentioned because I have personally experienced this with a traffic surf site, a lotto site, some article writing sites and several paid-to-post (PTP) sites.  Many if not most are the top sites of their category but miserably failed in fairness and equality.  As soon as I detect the bias they have, I have departed or quit membership.  There are many more racial oppression and trickery online that I hope to write about in the future.

Helium might be purging members again

Helium, some time in mid-2009, purged members who are not located in primarily English speaking countries. I had over 70 articles posted then and 2 were plagiarized. The star rating for both writing and rating articles given to me were at the upper level and a featured article writer at auto repair category quite often. My son who was also a member was purged. They were ethical in informing us about it (being sent to purgatory - lol), gave us time to download our articles before closing down our page.

Just last November 2010, we found out that they were again accepting members from all over the globe. To cut it short, I am a member again with some recruits and almost 40 articles posted. The current star rating I have is 3 Stars both for writing and rating articles.

Suddenly a member friend who recently joined, who unfortunately did not fall under my recruit, was no longer allowed to log in to her account. I tried to help her with it unsuccessfully until I suggested contacting Helium about it. She copy furnished me the email response of Helium that I copy/pasted below: (I have intentionally removed the name of my friend for privacy purposes)

Greetings I R,

Thanks for your ongoing interest in the Helium site.

Unfortunately, is not set up to provide an optimal experience for writers from every country. At present, our audience is predominantly US-focused. To prevent frustrations from all writers and to limit staff time spent trying to accommodate, we are not accepting submissions from some locations at this time.

Readers from around the world are welcome to enjoy Helium’s articles. In the future, we are hoping to offer different versions of Helium that will attract and best suit all writers. We are currently evaluating the impact this has on a few existing members, and we will settle with them on an individual basis in the coming weeks.  There are no specifics on new sites at this time.

All the best,

Cindy Wester

So to all Helium members who are not located in primarily English speaking countries, the "Sword of Damocles" once again hangs over our heads.  Those at Helium are supposed to realize the effort we do just to make the articles land at the top of the titles!  For me, I hardly research on the topics much more read the articles posted ahead of mine.  I write based purely on raw experience, wisdom and knowledge.  There are many articles posted at Helium with so many references they researched!  How sure are they that those references are good?

It seems that there are some writers at Helium who are from primarily English speaking countries insecure or envious on our knowledge and how we write.  Maybe some of them are even admin of Helium.  Readers please take a look at my profile page.  My location shows there and I had to choose from the scroll down list the site offered.  I had no option but to choose 'Bengquet' which should be correctly spelled as Benguet!

My question to Helium now is:  What if an American, Englishman or Australian lives in a non-primarily English speaking country, does not state it in his profile but instead puts the country, state and city he is from?

Helium might see this post as a blog against them.  Read well and it is not.  It is against those who are biased and even maybe lingual racists who have difficulty outdoing us!  (Funny thing about this is, my son tried to check on previous article titles we wrote on once before and he was surprised that there were pratically re-writes of our old articles on our previous stint with them).  What a subtle way to 'plagiarize' but not considered to be as such!

This blog post could make Helium remove me as writer-member.  Makes the job of purging easier for them.

Shvoong Writing and Earnings

Shvoong Writing and Earnings

Mainly, it could be my fault but analyzing it based on other websites that pay for my articles with 40 articles posted, it does not seem to be worth it. It earns even while I sleep and the same goes for the others I write for.

Mind Poisoning by separated wives

Unbelievable but it has happened!  This is with reference to an earlier article.  The high school batch of  a female, led by and has most members of separated wives, has got into the mind of a married woman.  An alumni anniversary ocassion made her take an absence-of-leave for one whole week.  She never did that when one in the family got gravely sick or was in trouble.

The separated wives like to prove through mind poisoning that being separated is better.  They, especially those who have successful careers or businesses, justify that they can focus on the child or children better without a husband.  That's alright and kudos to them.  But, and it's a big but(t) poisoning the mind of happily married women is one of their biggest mistakes!  They presume if not ass(ume) that all married women are like them!

Wrecked or broken homes are not mostly caused by husbands.  They are caused by separated wives who envy successful and happy marriages.

Basketball Should be Played in Different Height Divisions | Sportales

Height should be given the same consideration as in weight in boxing and other sports. Why does the sporting world like the NBA allow taller player dominate the sport of basketball? If given the chance, equally good players lacking in height can give the sport a boost and make it more competitive!

Why is The Heavy Weight Boxing Less Popular Now? | Sportales

Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Larry Holmes and others with similar boxing styles brought glory to heavy weight boxing. They were a class by themselves. Fat and almost obese boxers now are contenders to that division who are obviously out-of-form and just looking for the lucky knock-out punch to win!

A Grooms Wedding Speech

Special occasions such as weddings are memorable to both bride and groom.  It may not be as memorable to their relatives and friends, but it is an event where they all learn about the couple.  They learn how both react to one another on the first day that they have exchanged vows.  It is a commitment to one another and whatever they say, or act out, in the occasion remain imprinted in the minds of those attending the wedding.

The grooms wedding speech will be taken note by many, if not most, of those who are attending because he will be the head of the family.  The words in his speech should be delivered in a way that it would not be misinterpreted for something else.  In-laws, the bride’s parents, will be most critical of this.

The vows exchanged in the wedding will be a good reference point for the grooms wedding speech.  Words or phrases with reference to ‘for better or worse’ and ‘till death do us part’ will be significant to minds of the people in the wedding.  The speech statement should be an assurance that the bride will be in good hands.
